BENEFITS
Benefits are an important part of the compensation package offered by The Arc of Spokane, and we are committed to providing the best benefits possible to our employees, including but not limited to:
MEDICAL INSURANCE. The Arc offers three plan choices to employees and dependent children and pays 90% of the employee premium for the base plan. The Arc also contributes $85/month to your Health Savings Account when selecting that plan type.
DENTAL INSURANCE. Employee dental premiums are covered 100% by The Arc. Dental is offered to employees, spouses, and dependent child(ren).
LIFE INSURANCE. The premium for a $10,000 Employee Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance is 100% covered by The Arc. There is also a Voluntary Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance offered to the employee, spouse, and dependent child(ren) at the employee’s cost.
PAID VACATION. Employees begin accruing vacation at the time of hire, starting at 40 hrs/annually for part-time eligible employees and over two weeks for full-time employees in your first year.
SICK, SAFE, & BEREAVEMENT LEAVE. All employees accrue more than the state requirement at one hour for every 30 hours of work. This leave is available for immediate use.
PAID JURY DUTY LEAVE. For when employees are summoned for jury duty and selected to serve.
PERSONAL LEAVE DAY(S). The Arc provides paid personal days each year that are available for immediate use.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE. Available for extenuating circumstances if the Family Medical Leave Act or Washington State Paid Family & Medical leave does not apply.
HOLIDAYS. The Arc provides paid holidays off or premium paid holidays when working, depending upon the position.
WORKMAN’S COMPENSATION TAX. The Arc pays both the employee AND employer portion of this tax.
NURSING ASSISTANT REGISTERED (NAR/NAC). The Arc pays the annual fee for this license for eligible positions.
FIRST AID, CPR, BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS (BBP). The Arc provides these required trainings and pays any fees when required for eligible positions.
EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT. The Arc of Spokane Thrift Store provides a 20% discount on all purchases employees make at the store!
