BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY SCHOOL FOR SUCCESS (BOSS)

As a partnership between The Arc of Spokane’s Transition & Young Adult Programs (TYAP) and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), the Business Opportunity School for Success is a ten-week experience for students with disabilities between the ages of 16-21. This program includes educational workshops and hands-on work experience to develop, market, create, and sell products at local farmer’s markets.

The first half of the program focuses primarily on learning the basics of entrepreneurship and starting a business. Workshops are taught by TYAP staff and community business leaders. Halfway through the program, participants become employees of The Arc of Spokane.
