All employees of The Arc of Spokane will be required to comply with the vaccination, testing, and face covering requirements as outlined in the policy below as a condition of employment.

Update Feb 2, 2022:
The Arc policy on COVID-19 Vaccination, Testing, & Face Coverings will stay in effect, but we will not be enforcing the mandatory testing components of the policy. This means employees who have an exemption or are not vaccinated will not have to provide weekly tests. While the Supreme Court made their decision and OSHA and the Biden administration have rescinded their enforcement of the Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS), it is unknown at this time what other Federal, State, and funding authorities will do. For example, the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) have been approved by the Supreme Court to uphold this mandate for healthcare workers. The other components of this policy remain in effect as well as the Governor’s mask mandate that was issued August 2021.

What our employees are saying!

“I truly enjoyed the many trainings and meetings with the Community Inclusion team and other Community Inclusion providers. My perspective has been enriched as I’ve learned more about disability justice and advocacy. I am energized by discussions and trainings that cause me to challenge my previous viewpoints and I love visioning new ways to approach inclusion at a macro level while being transformed by relationships at a personal level. I also loved discovering new skills and gifts that my clients possessed. It is wonderful to witness a relationship unfolding between a client and a new friend from the community. As a whole, I would describe The Arc’s work culture as community-minded, supportive, welcoming, dedicated, loyal, efficient, effective, passionate, fun, inclusive, informal, mission-driven, respectful, organized and holistic.” KS
