Items We Cannot Accept

Unfortunately, The Arc is unable to accept some items, so please review the list below before donating.  Such restrictions are necessary because:

  • The item poses a safety or sanitation hazard, or
  • The item is too bulky or heavy for our driver to load safely into his truck, or
  • The item has no market value and cannot be resold

Of course, any item that is damaged or obviously worn out will not be picked up.  Money we spend disposing of unsellable items takes funding away from important programs we provide for people with developmental disabilities and their families.  We hope you understand.  Thank you for your consideration.
