Family Support 360 Navigator
The Arc of Spokane is seeking a Navigator to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families identify individual needs, develop a plan of action, and obtain access to relevant supports.  The Navigator’s chief priority is to be a guide and advocate for individuals and/or families and to support them in making their own decisions and achieving self-directed goals. The ideal candidate will identify families in need, provide a formal family assessment and assist with the development of the individual family plan, work with the family to access needed services, and keep good records, including outcomes, documented hours, mileage to provide to project manager.

  • Job Requirements:  Knowledge of community resources and supports available to people with developmental disabilities and their families; high school diploma or equivalency. One year experience working with people with developmental disabilities and their families a plus.  Must possess initiative, be self-directed, have computer skills including Microsoft Office and e-mail; flexible schedule; must be able to work some evenings and weekends; ability to work with difficult clients and/or situations. Must have a Washington driver’s license, insurance, and clean MVR. Background check required. Part-time (minimum of 10 hours /wk) starting at $10 /hr.  Position to start beginning of April, 2010.
