Parent Empowerment Workshop

For parents of children with special needs by parents of children with special needs, this workshop will help you navigate the many complex issues affecting you and your child.  Topics include:

  • Challenges and Successes
  • IEPs and 504 Plans
  • Father's Issues
  • Planning for the Future
  • Relationships
  • Sibling's Issues
  • Behavior challenges
  • Stress
  • Community Resources
  • Transition

The cost includes childcare (with confirmed reservation), refreshments and class materials.  Space is limitied, so please register early.  Limited scholarships may be available to qualifying participants.

DATE:  Six consecutive Monday evenings from April 14 to May 19, 2008 

TIME:  6:00 - 8:00 p.m. 
          
A networking dinner will be provided before class from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m.
